1 week from Sunday is the Daytona 500, it doesnt seem like it has been that long since Homestead. A lot of hoopla leading up to the race, can Jimmy win a 5th, I just dont think his luck can hold but then I would not bet against him. Mark Martin will give him a run for his Championship if he catches a couple breaks also Denny Hamlin and Matt Kenseth would not be a surprise.
Danica is finally going to arrive on the scene is she the reason Jr grew a beard? Jr has to win some races or at least make a few good showings I just dont know how much longer Rick will carry him with the rest of the team doing so great, this is his 3rd year there. I dont know how Danica will do only time will tell there seems to be no rhyme or reason as to what it takes to transfer from open wheel. Tony Stewart said it will be hard fro her to drive both cars at the same time yet he stilll drives anything with wheels.
Black horse for the year Kasey Kahne and Brad Keslowski may have a great year if Penske can get there act together. No I have not fogotten about Kurt Busch I dont think he has the self control to run in the top 5 he always goes for the win or else and you need those top 10 to win a championship.
I hope the tweaking NASCAR is planning for the car of the tomorrow does not backfire and make it worse in traffic, that rear wing or I should say the side of the wing saved prevented a lot of wrecks last year.
Remember when i wrote that NASCAR should take some of the purse money and give it to the Nationwide series, well they took some of then Cups money and kept it. I just hope the teams that start the year can survive to the end I dont think they all can but time will tell.
